Dr. Knight has excellent relationships and close communication with multiple excellent Medical Oncologists and Radiation Oncologists throughout the state of Alabama. She coordinates with them closely for every patient, utilizing their combined expertise to ensure that your care is individualized to you and that you have the best outcome.
This also often means that much of your treatment can have the added convenience of being close to home.

The order in which your cancer is treated is very important, and makes a difference in your survival. Dr. Knight utilizes the best practices in modern cancer care so that you can be sure that your cancer is treated in the right order and in the right way.
When it is time to discuss your surgical options, knowing that you have decided upon the surgery that’s right for you is very important to us. Some patients have the option to choose lumpectomy (with oncoplastic techniques and techniques to hide your scars), mastectomy of just the cancer side, or mastectomy of both breasts.
Should you choose to have a mastectomy, you have the option of having breast reconstruction. Dr. Knight works with the premier Plastic Surgeons in the Birmingham area to maximize an excellent cosmetic outcome.
