If you ask Dr. Knight why she does what she does, you will quickly see that she has a caring passion and purpose for her patients’ requiring treatment for cancer of the breast. 

From an early age Dr. Anna Knight volunteered in cancer centers providing blankets, snacks, and a loving smile to patients needing the best at their worst.  Following her dream and calling as a physician, Dr. Knight completed her undergraduate degree in nutrition from Louisiana State University.  Her training includes medical school at LSU-Shreveport, and an internship and residency at the Detroit Medical Center where she was chief resident and Resident Representative to the Wayne State Surgical Society.   Dr. Knight then served a breast fellowship at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.  She has presented various professional papers and most recently published an abstract for the American Society of Breast Surgeons Annual Meeting (2020).

​It is clear that Dr. Knight provides a unique and comprehensive approach to, and for, her patients.  Combining nutritional science, proven medical techniques, and human compassion, Dr. Knight is a physician with a true calling to serve her patients.  Her practice is intentionally designed to minister to the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs her patients deserve.  Resilience, courage, and strength with gentle and compassionate medical expertise is the model Dr. Knight sets forth for her patients.

Dr. Knight, her husband, and two children are a vital part of the Birmingham, Alabama community. As a busy mom she loves cooking, travel and exercise as she focuses on the health of the body, mind and spirit.
